       "The Alliance for Lung Cancer Advocacy, Support, and Education (ALCASE) is the only nonprofit organization dedicated solely to helping those living with lung cancer improve the quality of their lives through advocacy, support, and education. ALCASE currently provides services to patients, family members, and healthcare providers throughout the United States. ALCASE International is building momentum, too, as healthcare providers, lung cancer survivors, and family members around the world become aware of our services and mission."
       ALCASE provides plenty of information about lung cancer. Its hotline "is a support and information service for people with lung cancer, their family members and friends, and for people who might be at risk for developing lung cancer". This is a very comprehensive website. -PT

      "The American Lung Association (ALA) is the oldest voluntary health organization in the United States, with a National Office and constituent and affiliate associations around the country. Founded in 1904 to fight tuberculosis, ALA today fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control and environmental health. ALA is funded by contributions from the public, along with gifts and grants from corporations, foundations and government agencies. ALA achieves its many successes through the work of thousands of committed volunteers and staff"  
      The American Lung Association has a very interesting website, filled with articles and other forms of information regarding all forms of lung disease. With several programs to choose from and volunteering opportunities, ALA has proved to be a very beneficial program with a well developed website. It is also available in Spanish. -PT
       Call or visit website for information and referrals to local lung associations with wide range of services for lung cancer, smoking cessation, asthma and environmental health. Website also has 160 articles on wide range of lung issues.

     The Gynecologic Cancer Foundation provides information regarding gynecological cancer. The site also provides referrals to doctors specializing in the field of gynecological cancer. -PT

       "NOCC was founded by ovarian cancer survivors in Boca Raton, FL. Its birth was induced by the trivialization and lack of attention to ovarian cancer throughout the media. In April 1995, they began a nationwide campaign to gain national recognition for the SILENT killer, ovarian cancer. Thousands of ovarian cancer survivors throughout the nation have joined NOCC. Twenty-three states are following Florida NOCC's lead by forming their own state chapters. There are no required dues or fees for membership. NOCC is pursuing funding through pharmaceutical grants and monies from the public and private sector with a goal of more research and improved treatment modalities. Donations for operating expenses are always appreciated."
     The NOCC website gives all types information about ovarian cancer. The website provides information ranging from warning signs to symptoms to family history. This is the best website for ovarian cancer research. -PT
