Help change your world

Founded in 1996, Hearts & Minds works to help millions of people like you.

  • Our website shows how satisfying it is to create positive change. We inspire, motivate, educate, and connect people with the most effective ways to help themselves and others.Hearts & Minds End Poverty Campaign logo links to more on how you can help END extreme hunger and poverty worldwide
  • Our highest priority is the End Poverty CampaignSM, a nationwide, public education and advocacy effort. It’s a most achievable program to help end extreme global poverty more quickly and cost effectively. This Campaign works to help millions more people lift themselves from extreme poverty. We are working to create a non-partisan, global network of socially conscious people to help get to the root of this major challenge.

  • We highlight the connections with other Global Survival IssuesSM, advocating easy, effective ways that get to the roots of poverty, terrorism, and destruction of our environment. These threaten the lives of billions of people, all future generations - and us.

  • The Help Others section of our website also includes coverage of human rights, disasters, addictions, and other challenges our society faces. We connect people with resources to feed the hungry, house the homeless, protect the environment, and revitalize democracy.
  • The Help Yourself section provides vital information on a wide range of psychological and physical challenges. We show easy, effective ways to improve health and nutrition, prevent disease, and overcome addictions.

  • Our website totals more than 600 articles. We provide information and links for more than 900 public service organizations.
  • More than 9,300 people a day visit the Hearts & Minds website. They find inspiration and very effective ways to help themselves and others. They average more than 33,000 web pages of inspiring and helpful information. Since 1997, more than 13.6 million visitors have downloaded over 50 million articles from this website. More of our website statistics.

  • We reach people locally in New York City and nationwide. Thirty percent of our website visitors are international - from virtually every nation on earth.Logo for Our World - Our Future: Youth For Change links to information about the program

  • Our Youth for ChangeSM and Seniors for ChangeSM programs teach disadvantaged kids, youths, and seniors about arts, Global Survival issues, and effective ways to express their concerns to people globally. This helps build public support for a safer, more just, and sustainable world.
  • We do all of the above while providing hands-on vocational training and experience for 100 volunteers a year. This work alone compares favorably with organizations with much larger budgets.

We're an all-volunteer organization. Our president has donated over 16,000 hours to Hearts & Minds - find out why.

Thanks to substantial help from more than 550 volunteers so far - and donations of computers and furniture - we accomplish much with little expense.

For every dollar we spend, we accomplish over $9 worth of work. With your help, we can do even more:

We can expand the End Poverty Campaign, Youth and Seniors for Change programs, improve and expand our website, produce printed publications and nationwide public-service publicity campaigns.

Your donation helps Hearts & Minds' work to help millions more people for a safer, more just, sustainable and beautiful world.

Thank you for your interest!

It's easy to donate online now. Donations are tax deductible.
