Thanks for helping. This project is an important contribution toward creating an international network of activists on pressing social issues. We’re looking for experts in all of the fields we cover. Here's how you can help: 1.) Select issue(s) from the website. See Volunteering and Self-Help. Speak to our project manager* to coordinate with others who already may be working on those issues.2.) Search through the internet for experts (actual people, not just organizations) on that specific issue. You can start with our web page on the topic. See How to Find It on the Web for tips on how to find information on the web. 3.) Look at each expert’s credentials. This can include advanced degrees, a history of effective activism on the issue, etc. List those who seem like they would have valuable insight into an issue. 4.) Once you find experts on an issue, in a word processing file, record their contact information (name, title, address, phone number, e-mail, credentials). 5.) Add a brief synopsis of that person’s mission regarding that issue and why you think this expert is a good resource for the issue you are researching. ** If you can’t find much information on your topic, try typing in "experts on _____" in search engines. Also try finding information at www.experts.com, www.expert.com, www.profnet.com, www.expertclick.com, www.hgexpert.com, and major universities including www.nyu.edu, www.columbia.edu, www.berkeley.edu, www.princeton.edu/index.shtml, www.harvard.edu, www.yale.edu, www.ox.ac.uk (Oxford), www.cam.ac.uk (Cambridge), www.univ-paris1.fr (Sorbonne, France), www.ub.es (Barcelona, Spain), www.ucm.es (Madrid, Spain), www.ues.edu.sv (University of El Salvador, San Salvador, Argentina), www.jnu.ac.in (Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India), www.du.ac.in (University of Delhi, Delhi, India), and www.bhu.ac.in (Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India).
